Dinner tonight was a burger and Asian slaw. My favourite slaw recipe below to pair with any meal as a side. 370 calories for the whole plate, specifically the 40 calories per portion of Asian slaw.
INGREDIENTS
Burger bun
Beef burger
Bacon strip (fat cut off)
Lettece
Tsp light mayo mixed with crushed garlic
Asian slaw (serves 4- 40 calories per portion):
1/2 red cabbage
1/2 white cabbage
1 carrot (forgot to add into mine but tastes so much better with)
Pinch sugar
Salt
Pepper
2 tbsp light mayo
2 tbsp fat free Greek yoghurt
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
METHOD
1) Shred the red and white cabbage and grate the carrot. Mix in a large bowl.
2) In a separate bowl mix the vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, mayo and yoghurt.
3) Then pour the dressing over the top of the carrot and cabbage mixture and mix until the mixture is coated.
4) Then serve with the assembled burger.
